What Is Number Porting and Who Can Do It?

Number porting is the process of moving your existing phone number from your current service provider to a new one, allowing you to keep the same number without interruption. This is commonly done when switching to a new phone system or carrier, such as PrismRoute™, to take advantage of better features or pricing. Porting should be done by the authorized account holder or someone with written permission, as it requires access to account details like the billing address, account number, and sometimes a PIN or recent bill.
