Toll-Free and Numbering Business Verification

In accordance with regulations established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), all U.S. telephone numbers, including toll-free and local DID numbers, must undergo proper business verification and registration prior to being enabled for voice and SMS services. FCC compliance frameworks, including STIR/SHAKEN caller authentication and A2P messaging registration requirements, mandate that service providers verify the identity of the business end-user to prevent fraud, spoofing, robocalls, and unauthorized messaging. What is 10DLC?

10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) is a system created for businesses to send Application-to-Person (A2P) SMS using a standard 10-digit phone number, just like a personal number but with higher reliability for business messaging.

Key Benefits:

  • Higher Throughput: Send more messages than traditional long codes.

  • Compliance: Required carrier registration ensures delivery and helps block spam.

Mandatory in the U.S.Since March 2021, all businesses sending A2P messages over long codes must register through 10DLC. Unregistered numbers may face filtering, delays, or fines.

Transitioning to 10DLC ensures your business texts are delivered reliably and stay compliant.

10DLC & CNAM Registration Form

Before you begin, please gather the messaging-enabled numbers you have already purchased from PrismRoute™ that you wish to assign to the campaign you are creating.

Please note that carriers and Direct Connect Aggregators (DCA) have implemented additional vetting checks for Brands and Campaigns to support ongoing efforts against fraudulent or SPAM-related messaging.

🚫 Messaging-enabled numbers will not be able to send or receive messages until the 10DLC registration is complete.

How the Process Works

  • You’ll first answer a series of required questions.

  • Our team will manually process your 10DLC registration. This usually takes 1–2 weeks.

  • All submitted details will be reviewed carefully. In some cases, we may reach out with follow-up questions.

  • CNAM registration (Caller ID Name) adds an additional monthly fee of $2.50–$3.50 per number.

  • SMS activation is available only for numbers that are:

  • If you have not yet obtained any numbers, please wait until they are provisioned. You may then complete this form, and we will match the registration with your numbers.

  • This service is available only in the United States and Canada.
